For these settings to work:

  • You have to be using a DStv decoder, whether HD or Explora with MPEG-4 capabilities.
  • Your decoder must be set to the is20 satellite.
  • Ensure your signal strength and quality are in the 80s and above.
  • You’ll also need a working DStv remote to make changes.

If you have everything in place, here are the settings with the frequencies and symbol rates you can use to get free channels on DStv in 2023.

      1. Greetings Sir! I would to know what might be a problem, solution my other FTA channels don’t show anymore other they just appear with screen of been blank with sounds only I used old model DSD 1131 decoder.

        1. Hi George. There are many reasons for this. It could be the position of the dish or a faulty LNB. But sometimes the frequency of the channel may have changed.

You need to figure out how many channels are having this issue. If there’s a lot of them, then the fault is from the dish, LNB or decoder. And in this case, getting an installer to fix it for you would be the best option.

    1. Greetings, Ekemini Robert! am in need of FTA DSTV and don’t know if the star life, Channel O, MNet and Super Sports channels are possible cause just managed to get Gospel channels only. It’s a DVB-S.

    2. Hi, I would like to add BTV on my SA decoder, how can I go about it? Have tried the options up there but am failing. Am using decoder model 4S.

    3. Hi, I just want to commend you for the great job you’re doing and thank you for your patience and taking time to reply every comment sent to you. 🙏

    4. Is it possible to watch all channels on different customized networks? Because when I search channels on a particular network for example network 3, immediately I try to search for network 4 those on 3 disappear.

      1. Hi, Paul! Yes, it is.

From what I’m seeing, it seems those channels take up different channel numbers when you make the additional search with Network 4.

I recommend that instead of making a search for each network, you set up all the parameters for the different networks first (from network 1 to 5 as shown), then use the Scan All option to search for all channels at once.

It also looks like you may be confusing the channels from Network 3 with those from Network 4. Don’t forget that if you change a frequency for any network the FTA channels stored for that particular Network will be replaced.

      1. Hey, you are a genius Mr.
It’s my first time visiting here but I will surely try these settings and get back to you.
My question is: do these settings work?

        1. Yes, Prince. I checked and it appears you are using the IS20 satellite. We have made an article for that. Please, follow our instructions on how to set up free channels for IS20 satellites. Thank you.
